What is the oriental massage?
Le oriental massage is a unique combination of various treatments which includes acupressure, wood lock liniment herbal oil massage, flame cupping therapy, needles, gua sha, lymphatic drainage, Thai compress and stretching.
This blend of techniques is personalised to suit your own special condition to maximise efficiency. The main goal is to help relieve chronic pain, increase blood flow, release toxins, improve immune system, restore the energy, increase movements and flexibility.

Types of oriental massage and benefits:
Origin Acupressure: to regain health and balance to the body’s channels of energy and to regulate the two opposing forces of the body: yin (negative energy) and yang (positive energy). Some have claimed that not only does acupressure restore the energy fields in the body but also the mind, emotions, and spirit. It is also believed that therapists can transmit vital energy (external qi) to another person through the work of hands.

Cupping therapy: Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine and has been around for thousands of years. Cupping is based on the belief that certain health problems can be caused by stagnant blood and poor energy flow through your body. To reduce or prevent those health issues, cupping practitioners apply cups—typically glass or silicone—to your skin to create a pressure that sucks your skin inward. The pressure that the cups create draws blood to the affected area, increasing your blood flow overall. The therapy has been shown to increase a patient’s movement and flexibility, rapidly facilitating the release of soft tissue, drain stagnant areas, break up cross-linkage between tissue layers, and promote circulation, hydration. and lymphatic drainage. They may also use it to ease the symptoms of colds and flu by stimulating the immune system

Cupping is generally recommended for the treatment of:

  • Back and neck pain, stiff muscles, paralysis, gastrointestinal disorders
  • Lung diseases (especially chronic cough and asthma)
  • Anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism

Thai Massage: Thai Traditional Massage is a dry massage which combines acupressure and passive stretching techniques to harmonise the body, loosen blockage and improve flexibility. Far beyond pampering or relaxation, this treatment will truly reawaken the body’s energy flow. They work along the meridian lines in body help to balance.

Lymphatic Drainage: involves a gentle rhythmic massage treatment and movement of the hands which pushes fluid towards the lymph nodes. Once fluid reaches the nodes, it can be transported elsewhere in the body, using the lymphatic drainage system.  This can assist the body’s natural ability to remove any build-up of toxins.

Dry Needling: dry needling practitioners inserting a needle directly into muscle knot or pressure point will release tension in the surrounding muscles for therapeutic purposes, also known as myofascial trigger points. The trigger points may increase flexibility and improve range of motion. Consequently, this method is often used to treat sports injuries, muscle pain, and even fibromyalgia pain. Many types of research have provided evidence-based support in the treatment of acute and chronic back pain, chronic neck pain, tension-type migraine headaches, pelvic girdle pain, knee osteoarthritis, lateral elbow pain, and shoulder conditions.

Gua-sha: a natural, alternative therapy that involves scraping your skin with a massage tool to improve body circulation. This ancient Chinese healing technique offers a unique approach to better health, addressing issues like chronic pain.

What should you expect in oriental massage treatment?

To start, our therapists will assess your condition.

The assessment information includes comprehensive recording of health history, palpation, static postural analysis, dynamic postural analysis, gait analysis, general musculoskeletal screen, range of motion testing and special orthopaedic tests. These tests help identify the most likely cause of pain or injury. The treatment will then depend on the pain or injury found.

The treatment goal is to “remedy” a client’s problem and optimise recovery.

What to avoid after the treatment?

Keep yourself hydrated by drinking a lot of water

It provides lymphatic system extra fluids to flush the toxin out of the body

Avoid showering immediately after the treatment as:

  • Pores will open up more making the skin more sensitive;
  • Taking hot bath causes skin inflammation and cold shower catches a cold
